Benefits and Retirement Workshops
Take part in pre-retirement planning with one-on-one counseling sessions with TIAA (our investment carrier) and Captrust Advisors (an independent retirement planning advising company). You can register for a session, an upcoming live seminar, or a pre-recorded retirement planning workshop and find a wealth of informational publications at the vendor websites.

Workshops - Virtual and In-person
Human Resources offers professional and personal development programs and resources to help you grow and succeed in your role and move your career forward. We support and cultivate growth, our aim is to develop and sustain a workforce that is motivated, inspired and diverse. Access the shared on MyHilltop and the Employee Development Task Center and on Workplace. The calendar is updated quarterly and contains a variety of training topics facilitated by Human Resources and our partner Trainers at AWP.
Search Committee Training
Completion of search committee training is required of all members of the search committee within three years of the start of the search. The training is not focused on your skills to evaluate the applicants, but is focused on other factors that can unconsciously have a negative impact on applicant pool sizes/diversity as well as in the selected interview pool. Members who do not complete the training will not be allowed access to the applicant materials. The on-line training provides information, advice and techniques to enable search committees to run more effectively and efficiently.
Customized Training
Customized Training is available and includes guidance consultations, needs assessments, curriculum development and implementation to meet the training needs of specific department work units. HR also works with consultants that can be a resource for additional specialized training. For a customized training session please contact HR@stedwards.edu.
LinkedIn Learning
The Office of Human Resources offers St. Ed's employees on-demand training for a variety of subjects with 24/7 access. The online training platform is powered by LinkedIn Learning and empowers employees with the opportunity to expand their professional and personal learning, create personalized learning plans and obtain a record of asset completions. Alliance Work Partners (AWP) Webinars
Our EAP partner, AWP regularly conducts live professional and personal development webinars. Registration opens up 10 days prior each webinar. Registration is required in order to access the webinar however recordings are available for 2 months after each event.

Alison is a free online training and education platform that focuses on workplace skills. It offers over 1,000 courses with free access. While there is a charge to obtain a certification, all courses are free to enroll in and complete. Topics include areas such as:
